Buying considerations

• Size up: a "6-person" rating means six sleeping pads touching. Two adults plus kids want a 4–6 person.
• A full-coverage rainfly and a vestibule matter more than claimed waterproof ratings.
• Practice one setup at home; campsite arrivals happen at dusk.
